Ed Scagel

A lifelong Northampton resident, I bring a deep connection to this community and a diverse professional background to every client relationship. Before entering real estate, I spent more than 15 years teaching in Northampton, West Springfield, Holyoke, and Hampshire Regional Public Schools, served four years on the Northampton City Council, and owned and operated my own small business.

For nearly 25 years, I have owned, managed, bought, renovated, and sold residential rental properties across Western Massachusetts — giving me a firsthand understanding of the market that goes well beyond the textbook. That experience, combined with a B.A. in Economics from Bucknell University, an M.A. in Political Science from Boston College, and an MBA with a concentration in accounting and finance from UMass, allows me to offer clients both practical knowledge and analytical depth.

My approach is straightforward: clients come first. I am a strong negotiator, a tireless advocate, and someone who will always answer the phone or return your call promptly. Whether you’re buying your first home, selling a long-held property, or adding to an investment portfolio, I am committed to keeping you fully informed and supported at every step.

I live in Northampton with my family, including my daughter Elizabeth, who attends Bentley University, and my son Leo, a student at Leeds Elementary. I look forward to putting my experience to work for you.
